Gemlab F-series Mini Muffle Furnace (Model M50-1700, M50-1800)
Gemlab's M50-1700 ("MINI MUFFLE") vertical muffle furnace is designed by Ted Themelis in response to the market demand for mini-size high temperature reliable furnace. Model M50 is the smallest possible vertical muffle furnace can be engineered which rubies-sapphires can be easily loaded-uloaded. The furnace is able to heat-treat about 1,500 cts of rubies-sapphires at teperatures between 1200oC to 1700oC (or 12000C to 1800oC model M50-1800) under various modes. The furnace is equipped with a alumina 99.96% tube OD=50 mm providing the desirable atmosphere conditions selected by the operator (reducing, oxidizing, or vacuum) with or without using chemical additives or in vacuum. The furnace may be used with/without muffle to increase loading capacity. |

Gemlab's furnace Model M50-1700 has been designed and engineered to be easily converted for 1800oC furnace temperature operation upon reconfiguration of the following:
1) Change to 1900-grade Kanthal heating elements
2) Change B-type to 20/40-type thermocouple
3) Change parameters in the existing temp.controller

Standard package (Model M40-1800)
Order: Model M40-1800 as per above specs for model M40-1700 but supplied with 1900-grade elements, one 20/40 type and one B-type thermocouple, one pc half (L=305mm and one pcs full (L=610m) muffle tube; pair of muffle flange-set, crucible, re-circulating water cooling system; full atmosphere control.
